A Family Countdown to Revival

Sometimes the world feels heavy.
People feel unseen, unheard, and alone.
But something powerful can happen when families choose to slow down, talk, and spread hope together.

5 Days of Grace is a simple family challenge leading to Revival Day — March 18 (Nisan 1).
Each day has one small action:
Day 1 — Talk About It
Visit Miss Bess Porch Talks and start the conversation about love, hope, and why people sometimes feel invisible.

Day 2 — Take the Walk
Go outside together.
Find rocks.
Paint messages of hope.

Day 3 — Scatter Hope
Leave your rocks where someone might need encouragement.

Day 4 — Send One
Mail a rock to a friend or family member, or post a #VirtualRock online.

Day 5 — Write to Jesus
Write a birthday card or letter to Jesus from your heart.

Then begins 18 Days of Light — a movement to keep spreading hope.
Leave the light on.
Keep painting rocks.

Place them where children might see them:
sidewalks • bus stops • train stations • park benches • laundry mats • swingsets • basketball courts
Where love needs to live.

Invite them to come home…
to Jesus,
to family,
and to self.

Why This Series Exists (And Why It’s Free)

This little series was born out of something simple and honest: watching good people carry heavy things alone. Not because they had to—but because they didn’t know how to ask for help, or didn’t think they were allowed to slow down long enough to receive it.

Over the years, Miss Bess noticed a pattern. Folks weren’t lacking effort. They weren’t lazy. They weren’t careless. They were tired. Overstimulated. Pulled in too many directions. And quietly wondering why the same struggles kept showing up year after year, even though they meant well and tried hard.

This series isn’t about fixing people. It’s about restoring perspective. It’s about asking gentler questions before making louder promises. Before another resolution. Before another year slips by. Sometimes what we need most isn’t more discipline—but clearer direction, deeper purpose, and permission to focus on what actually lasts.

And that’s why this is free.

Not because it has no value—but because its value grows when it’s shared. Some things aren’t meant to be sold. They’re meant to be passed along. Left on a kitchen table. Slipped into a stocking. Sent to someone you love when you don’t know how to say what’s on your heart.

This is a gift for tight years. For quiet seasons. For moments when words fail but love doesn’t. If it helps even one person feel less forgotten, more steady, or more hopeful about what’s ahead—then it’s already done its job.

So download it. Print it. Share it. Mark it up. Skip around. Come back to it later. There’s no right way to use this—only an honest one.

With love, perspective, and a little humor,
Miss Bess

Take what you need.
Leave what you don’t.
And if something here helps you breathe a little easier—pass it on.

Nisan 1 - The Birthdate of Christ

The Fool In Me - How Far Would You Go For Jesus?

The Fool In Me - How Far Would You Go For Jesus?

Nisan 1 - The Birthdate of Christ - This book examines the biblical evidence surrounding the timing of Christ’s birth, tracing Scripture’s patterns of appointed times, covenant markers, and divine order.

Across eighteen chapters, it presents a cohesive case for understanding Christ’s birth within God’s established calendar framework — not as speculation, but as the only conclusion that consistently aligns with the biblical text.

It invites readers to reconsider assumptions, follow Scripture carefully, and recognize that God has never been careless with time.

The Fool In Me - How Far Would You Go For Jesus?

The Fool In Me - How Far Would You Go For Jesus?

This book explores the humility required The Fool In Me - Just How Far Would You Be Willing To Go For Jesus -

when clarity arrives and long-held assumptions must be reconsidered.

It addresses the internal conflict between comfort and truth, and the responsibility that comes with greater understanding.

Rather than shaming past beliefs, it reframes growth as obedience — the willingness to follow truth wherever it leads.

Things I Wish I Could Say

The Fool In Me - How Far Would You Go For Jesus?

When Life Breaks Without Asking Permission

Things I Wish I Could Say

This is the most honest book I’ve ever written.

It says the things people think but don’t always say out loud — about pain, faith, disappointment, and hope.

It doesn’t fix anything.

It just tells the truth.

And sometimes,

 that’s where healing starts.

When Life Breaks Without Asking Permission - Seven Seasons in Life

Life doesn’t always break politely.

This book walks through the seasons people experience when everything changes — loss, confusion, endurance, waiting, rebuilding — without pretending healing happens quickly.

It sits beside you instead of pushing you forward.

Twelve Mirrors

When Life Breaks Without Asking Permission

What Happened When The Seasons Changed...

Twelve Mirrors - The People Jesus Chose - Then and Now

Once pain is named, identity becomes the question.

This book invites readers to see themselves reflected in the people Jesus chose — not the polished or powerful, but the overlooked, doubting, grieving, broken.

It asks gently:
What if Jesus is still choosing people like this?
What if He is still choosing people like you?

The path to self-discovery can be a lifelong journey. By exploring our beliefs, values, and passions, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

What Happened When The Seasons Changed...

What Happened When The Seasons Changed -

This book explores Scripture’s understanding of time, seasons, and appointed rhythms — and how replacing them changed more than calendars.

It does not accuse tradition. It offers context.

It says:
You are not broken. Something shifted.

Connection with others

is essential for our well-being. Whether through community, friendship, or romantic relationships, human connection can provide us with support, love, and a sense of belonging.
